Palearctic, termophyle, from the steppe and forest-steppe (where the species is present the most) up to the lower nemoral belt

Festucetalia valesiacae, Sisymbrietalia, Onopordion, Artemisio-Agropyrion

R87 from warm areas, R34 habitats

 

 

 

This xeric species is very frequent in southern Romania and much rare in the northern and central regions.
